The Finance Department’s mission is to accurately and efficiently maintain and safeguard the City of Newnan’s financial affairs, assets and records as generated by the operations of the City and maintain an environment which encourages and promotes employee integrity, ethics, creativity, and personal development, while ensuring a high level of excellence in customer satisfaction.  We are here to serve you and would appreciate any feedback you might offer to improve our services!

We are located on the first floor of City Hall.  Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Renee Phillips, Accountant - Please contact for monthly closings, bank reconciliations, fuel cards, city credit cards, document storage and retrieval, sales tax, general ledger and other financial inquiries.

Iris McClung, Accounting Specialist  -  Please contact for issues relating to occupational tax certificates (business licensing), eVerify documentation, quarterly alcohol sales reports, monthly alcohol taxes, and alcohol licensing.  

Lee Penna,  Accounting Technician -  Please contact for accounts payable, bond refunds, purchasing card transactions, W-9's, tax-exempt certificates and payment inquiries.

Kim Carroll,  Accounting Technician -  Please contact for delinquent City property taxes, accounts receivable (grass cutting, house demolitions, etc.), NSF checks, purchase orders and cemetery sales or deeds inquiries.

Dyann Pritchett,  Senior Accounting Technician -  Assisting with Cemetery Systems Maintenance.

Jennifer McCrary, Assistant Finance Director - Assists with departmental operations, CAFR and Asset Management as needed.
